Hollard formalised its commitment to diversity and inclusion in 2015. We proudly became a member of the Diversity Council of Australia, and developed a three-year roadmap targeting accessibility, gender, equality, LGBTI and mental health, along with pay equity, flexible work arrangements, domestic family violence and unconscious bias. Hollard is determined to enable our staff (whom we affectionately call our "Hollardites") to bring their whole selves to work, to perform at their best.
Hollard is committed to advancing women in the workplace, including those in leadership positions. We are striving to achieve gender equality within leadership by 2023. In 2019, half of both Hollard's Board and Group CEO's direct reports were women. Also, in 2018 more than 60% of Hollardites enjoyed some level of a flexible work arrangement, allowing them to have a work environment that works best for the needs of both the business and themselves. We have also partnered with White Ribbon Australia and are working towards White Ribbon accreditation, to create a safer and more respectful work environment for women, along with providing leading practice avenues of support for women impacted by domestic violence.
Hollard is committed to supporting Hollardites of diverse sex, sexuality and gender. We have partnered with Pride in Diversity and are currently working towards submitting our first Australian Workplace Equality Index. All our policies and benefits are inclusive of LGBTI partners and families, including the implementation of policies and guidelines for transgender people pre, mid and post transition. Our Allies Network was launched in August 2018.
Hollard is committed to ensuring the wellbeing of all Hollardites in the workplace, removing stigma and promoting awareness around mental health and wellness. We are currently in the process of conducting Lifeline's Accidental Counsellor training for all Hollardites.
Hollard is committed to hiring and retaining the best and most highly skilled people including those who live with disability. We have partnered with the Australian Network on Disability and are currently working towards becoming a Disability Confident Recruiter. Reasonable workplace adjustments are available for all Hollardites to perform their role, as well as candidates in the recruitment process to enable them to participate in the interview and selection process.
We understand that a key component of being a disability confident organization is ensuring that all people are able to find and access our premises in a safe, equitable and dignified way.
We are located in Chatswood and Hollard's building facilities include the availability of:
- public lift access to street level from ground floor Chatswood train station;
- directly accessible office entrance from Victoria Avenue;
- public lift access from the building lobby to level 12 reception with voice prompts;
- accessible meeting rooms within the bulidng; and
- accessible bathrooms within the building.
